Huxley: Video Interview

Find out what makes Huxley an MMO, a bit about each class and how quests work in this video interview.

Interviews By Dana Massey on June 24, 2009

Huxley is an MMOFPS on the way from Webzen. In this video interview, we find out about what makes this truly an MMO, how the PvP elements work, quests within the game and what the different classes are all about. The game ended a beta phase on the 14th and is headed to another one soon, with launch later this year.

And then let us know what you think on the forums!

i was in the CBT..all i can say is sad. waiting years for this to unfold, its so instanced its...its just terrible. hope the end product hold up. take a look at any ijji title and you can pretty much see what huxley will be. forget about anykind of open world. good luck huxley you got alot of stiffer and better competition coming out there in mmofps land

I had two thoughts running through my mind watching this interview.

1) This game is taking WAY too long to develop, and frankly it reminds me of the Darkfall fiasco.  Take an inordinate amount of development time, then if/when it is ever released, the technology is sub-par, and no one really cares about it anymore.

2) What is with the video that was being shown during the interview?  When I see these "fancy shmancy" videos of the "game", and I don't see actual gameplay videos, I get concerned that they actually can't show current game play video at this point because they are afraid to.

The two that I am personally watching are Global Agenda and Huxley, but if i had to put my money on a winner right at this moment, it would be Global Agenda.  Time will tell if I'm right or wrong.

i was also in CBT and  honestly its not an mmo.... its GUNZ all over again. but with worse lag better graphics not amazing but  better. and less to do what they have done is takin unreal tornament and made a  lobby  game  on the orignal to play  onslaught  with a few quest  * kill this  save that pick up this * tossed in to  make u think  mmo. honestly  TO much dev time  wasted on  well  franky nothing i can see worth while.

Well let me add my two cents for the others that are already bashing the game. It was a closed beta test 1. You may want to wait to judge when you can actually see the whole game. I was in the CBT also an unlike the other two posters think the game will have some promise. Especially since it is going to be f2p. It looks better than any f2p game out there. We had very limited access to the game world and were supposed to be playing so they could work out connection issues, server stability, etc. I am reserving judgement because the concepts to me are cool, it won't cost you anything to play and those are worth checking it out in my opinon. The closed beta test two is supposed to give us access to the whole game. How about we actually get to see the full product before you try and give the game a bad rep.

Dammit!  I have been waiting for this game for almost two years, and now I find out it's not an MMO?  I really wanted a perpetual world, but player hosted battles of capture the flag?  This sucks man.  I was hoping for something more like Planetside in terms of gameply, and the world it takes place in.

Oh well ... at least I still have Star Wars The Old Republic to look forward to.

First of all its a mmorpg. Second I was a CB Tester for this game.

The gameplay is enough refreshing to keep you playing, the grafics are not super but enough to enjoy them.

To bad there was terrible terrible lag (  pvp was unplayable ) yet pve was great.

Hopefully the bugs will be killed in the next closed beta :) I will be there

Cheers :)

first of all its NOT even quoted as a mmorpg get your facts right its quoted as an mmofps and its not even that, its  a fps  theres VERY little about it thats  mmo it has quests.. woope do  left 4 dead has * quests*  or u could call them meer achevements becuse thats  the same  in huxley,  u get  somthing for them at the end of it  but then again u did in battle field 2, in fact this game is closer to  battle field 2 then i first gave it credit. Thats not a good thing. The hit reg is terrible the the quests were bland and boring what we have seen yet. THIS MIGHT CHANGE  im not saying it wont...... and hosted games NEVER EVER EEEEEEVERRRR work for the majorty of avarage gamers. btw thats  this games main target audiance if its going f2p becuse people wont play it every second of the day becuse they havent payed for it...

ps  quote on my grammer spelling  punctuation all u like im not fussed im just lasy lol.

Napalm, you posts are completely unreadable.  Making a pun on your spelling is not humorous for someone trying to struggle through that mess.  Why bother to post when no one can read it?

Have to wait and see with Huxley, hard to say what kind of game this will be.  Graphics are not everything, but I had thought it was more a MMO than it now appears to be.

ha for once  i can say  thats  bull pucky,  u can read what was said just fine, if u took  half a brain cell and rub it together  with another half  odviously it seems u cant manage this  (and im sorry for that.) u could happly  read it its just poor grammer and  a few  spelling mistakes very few  tbh.  i do get lasy and  i dont check what ive posted but this time it wasent as bad as i expected after reading your post i had a look  you are  just a cry baby  have fun .

and back on topic  huxley's graphics are the only thing that  seems any times been spent on.
