This game wont be an EVE or WoW killer but I'm still looking forward to it :-)

The (more) direct action pased PVP will be a welcome change, if well implemented. I would love a joystick to fly my fighter/battleship around and shoot some enemies myselve instead of the ship-computers who decided if I or opponent won.

I know the feeling.

Here's looking forward to new information and the chance of beta in 2010!

You don't think there's anything amiss? I'm sat here wearing a red and white gingham dress, and army boots, you think that's un-amiss?

This game could of been so much more then what it is..  Which right now I don't know what it is..  Are they even working on the game or is dead in the water?  I still wish it followed more of the path of "Elite", the true sci fi space game..

Imagine a game with 1,000 different star systems to explore, trade and craft in..

Imagine a game with thousands of unique recipes for crafting, each different and special to the star system they are found.

Imagine a game that accomidates both PvE and PvP play without unwanted or unfair ganking..

With a game so large with thousands of recipes, unique quest and trade routes, factions, it would be almost impossible to have every ship be the same as the next..  You may stumble across Planet 138x, which is a anarchy style of govt, that has the ability to sell or allow crafting of the disruptor type X weapon.. etc etc.. You make, or buy it, not telling anyone where you got it.. lol

Granted it would eventually end up on a spoiler site somewhere, but until then, it would be something special..  Have ever changing trade routes.. This means you may wish to be a trader, and sell various ores from planet A to planet B.. But the supply and demand change weekly?  What was a great route this week, changes and barely profitable the next..  There could be endless possibilities, if only some would have a dream..  I'm starting to think JG Evo never had the dream to begin with :( How sad

EVE is for a big part based on the Elite dream your referring to: EVE sounds like the game for you to play.

For me it isnt anymore. I like a direct action PVP style more then the strategic PVP style of EVE. And unfair/unwanted ganking will always happen in a PVP enabled game. If you dont want that to happen, then the solution can only be: play 100% PVE games.

But your right about the game status .... WHAT is being done? Anything at all?
A little comment from the developers each month is not too much to ask, is it? LOL

Says the one who has a guaranteed spot in the closed beta. =O

On a more serious note though, more information and hopefully the start of a beta would be a nice suprise indeed.
